Update: Dettwiler has been found.
SURREY (NEWS1130) – The Surrey RCMP says Claude George Dettwiler was dropped off at the Semiahmoo Branch of the public library at 152nd Street and 18th Avenue around 12:30 pm Tuesday. He was supposed to walk home, but didn’t come back.
Family and friends haven’t seen him. Police say Dettwiler has suffered from depression and there is concern for his well being.
The weather has been cold and wet the past few days and the senior doesn’t have a car. It’s believed he only has a small amount of cash on him.
There is no available photo of the 74-year old, but he is described as 5’9″ with a slim build and receding grey hair. He was wearing beige pants, a red shirt, a beige jacket, with beige sandals and white socks.
If you’ve seen him, you’re asked to call the Surrey RCMP at (604) 599-0502.
