Police seize thousands of fake Viagra and Cialis pills in warehouse

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A Hamilton man faces charges after RCMP seized thousands of fake Viagra and Cialis pills, along with counterfeit designer clothes and accessories.

RCMP say officers with a warrant searched a warehouse after intercepting a package destined for a company in Mississauga, Ont., containing 15,000 suspected fake Viagra pills.

At the warehouse, investigators seized 100,000 suspected counterfeit Viagra and Cialis pills in blister packs, as well as boxes used to prepare the pills for resale.

Police say the fake drugs are worth more than $1 million. Viagra and Cialis are used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Officers also seized designer label clothing and accessories, which were being stored, labelled and tagged for resale, worth more than $5 million.

Abrahaam Benmoise, 56, is due in court June 10 charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
