Missing Lions Gate jerseys found

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Two custom-made Canucks jerseys stolen from the Lions Gate Bridge stone cats have been returned. The company that maintains the bridge found them after an anonymous tip.

“They were found on the Lord Stanley statue in Stanley Park,” says David Zerr with Mainroad who adds its great news for drivers who like seeing the lions decked out. “We’ve put them back as they were so they’re back in place.”

He isn’t sure who took them but hopes this time they stay until the Canucks win the Cup. The jerseys had been missing since Tuesday.

And Canucks fever will burn bright at Jack Poole Plaza. The Olympic Cauldron will be re-lit for the next Canucks away game. Premier Clark will re-light the cauldron on June 6 at 3pm.
