Christy Clark approval rating soars

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Premier Christy Clark‘s approval rating is at 36 per cent, that’s more than double Gordon Campbell’s rating before he left office.  That’s according to a new poll by Angus Reid.

Campbell’s popularity was at 16 per cent in the last survey before he resigned, so Clark has picked up 20 points.

But she has a long way to go to catch up with Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall who has a 59 per cent approval rating.  Wall is now the only Canadian premier to have the backing of more than half of respondents in a particular province.

The premiers of Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick each scored 40 per cent approval or better.
