VICTORIA (NEWS1130) – Dean Fortin has won reelection in Victoria by an overwhelming majority, with over 10,000 votes. His closest rival, Paul Brown, picked up about 4,200 votes.
In Kelowna, a former mayor has returned to office. Walter Gray has defeated Sharon Shepherd in that city. Gray has already served three terms, but he was unseated by Shepherd during the 2005 election.
It was a neck-and-neck race as results came in, but Gray ended up picking up the victory with a margin of about 400 votes.
