Canucks shuffle roster for road trip

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks have another injury to address as they head to the road for a five-game eastern road trip.

Forward David Booth injured his left knee in a collision with Colorado’s Kevin Porter in the Canucks’ 6-0 win on Tuesday night. He will reportedly be out for four to six week with a sprained MCL. There has been no word on any punishment from the league offices.

The Canucks have recalled forward Bill Sweatt and re-assigned forward Victor Oreskovich to the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves. Oreskovich was expected to present a physical presence but had just one hit and took a minor penalty against Colorado. Sweatt will join the team in Montreal in time for Thursday’s game against the Canadiens.

Roberto Luongo says he is fine and ready to start tomorrow night in Montreal.  Loungo took a shot in the neck in the second period of last night’s game and did not return.  The trip will take the Canucks to Montreal, Ottawa,  Columbus, Carolina and Toronto.
