Early morning stabbing in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A man is in hospital and another is in custody after an early morning stabbing in Vancouver.

It happened around 5 a.m. on Battison Street near 45th Avenue. A 31-year-old was stabbed in his stomach. He’s now in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested; he could face assault and weapons charges.

Police say this appears to have been a targeted attack, adding the victim and suspect know each other.
