Crash kills one, injures three in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS1130) – A horrific car crash has killed one person and injured three in Surrey. The debris field from the two car crash covered an entire block. One of the cars was severed in half by the impact.
It happened yesterday at 128th and 68th Avenue in Surrey around 10:30 p.m.. It appears the driver of the car ran a red light and was hit by an oncoming SUV.
Surrey RCMP Staff Sergeant Warren Tyson says the two people in the SUV have only minor injuries, but the two people in the car weren’t so lucky.
“One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other person was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.”
The road was closed for over ten hours as police investigated.
