Top jobs of 2013 in the tech industry

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If you’re looking for a job and are good with computers, good news: Some of the top jobs of 2013 are in that industry.
It’s not unusual to make up to six figures by working jobs in web development, graphic design, and the hottest sector: creating and selling apps for smartphones and tablets.
Nathan Wawruck with Robert Half International explains these types of jobs will be around for a very long time to come. “People are demanding content; they’re demanding applications. They want more and more things on their phones, on their computers. There’s a lot of pull for it, that’s for sure.”
Wawruck says this is also a really good time if you’re about to graduate and are looking for work.
“Even a year’s experience is sufficient to get a very good paying job. Let’s just say, for example, you don’t have any experience; what I would always recommend in that case is try to build up your portfolio prior to graduating,” he explains.
He expects demand for these types of jobs will stick around for a while, as it doesn’t look the smartphone/tablet world will be slowing down anytime soon.
