VANCOUVER(NEWS1130) – It’s a lasting memory for a Coquitlam Search and Rescue member, paramedic and devoted father.
A trust fund has been created to help the family of Roland Webb, the man hit and killed by a dump truck in Anmore last week.
Rollie’s fellow paramedic Brooks Hogya says everything his friend did, whether as a paramedic, working on a search and rescue, a BC Bike Race – he was always helping other people.
He says many people were asking what they could do to help after the tragic death.
“We came up with starting a trust fund, an education fund for his kids. He has a boy Ethan who is seven and a daughter Abbie who is nine, almost ten,” Hogya says.
If you’d like to help, the trust fund is at any local TD Canada Trust. You’re asked to make sure to bring the account number – #9900-6569004.
If you’re outside BC, it’s #99000-6569004.
Hogya says this hasn’t been easy.
“I learned more about setting up an education fund for a friends’ kids than I ever wanted to,” he says.
