Fire guts Richmond home

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – Two people are recovering in hospital this morning after a huge fire at a townhouse in Richmond.
It happened last night at Saunders and Number 3 Roads.
Battalion Chief Peter Price says 23 crew members responded to the blaze. “The fire broke out on the roof and when crews arrived the roof was about 75 per cent involved.”
“There were two occupants that sustained injuries, smoke inhalation and some burns. At this moment the cause is unknown.”
Fire crews are investigating. The home has been gutted.
