NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Healthy habits and feeling good about yourself are so important at any age, but young girls often face many challenges in these areas.
That’s where “Sole Girls” comes in.
Ashley Wiles is behind the programs on the North Shore and her hope is that tweens will learn confidence and problem solving skills through sport.
The group focuses on a number of areas including making new friends, anti-bullying, going back to school, building confidence and physical health!
They invite girls between eight and twelve-years-old to join them and learn the tools it takes to deal with bullying and body image issues.
Ashley says their goal is to get girls running because that is an activity you can take anywhere throughout your life, but they also work to motivate through any physical activity as a way to help girls gain confidence and have fun.
