VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Are you out of touch with the younger generation?
A recent survey done for the TV show Modern Family looked at what makes an uncool parent.
Not knowing what songs have topped the charts, the way you dress, and not being able to work a smartphone are on the list.
Eight in ten parents have resigned themselves to the fact their kids will consider them uncool at some point in their lives. But only 15 per cent worry about it.
About three quarters of parents figure it’s just a phase their kids will grow out of, with most admitting they thought their own parents were pretty uncool when they were younger.
Other things that make a parent uncool: Owning a sensible car and not knowing what twerking is.
