Lawsuit launched against serial killer’s brother

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) A Vancouver woman has launched a lawsuit against David Pickton, the brother of serial killer Robert Pickton.

The woman alleges in a court document he threatened to kill and rape her while on a Burnaby construction site more than two decades ago.

The document claims Pickton was convicted of the assault in 1992, but Pickton says he has a hard time remembering 20 years ago, and when he was told the woman’s name he only said her name sounded familiar.

The conviction could not be immediately confirmed because a search of the Ministry of Justice’s online database appears not to go back that far.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
