James Avery from “Fresh Prince” dies at age 65

LOS ANGELES (NEWS1130) – “Uncle Phil” has passed away.
James Avery played the beloved father figure on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
He died last night in an LA hospital, from complications of open-heart surgery.
Alfonso Ribeiro, who played his son on the 90’s sitcom, took to Facebook, saying Avery was a father figure to him in real life.
Avery was 65 years old.
