ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Police tape was up briefly on the Canadian side of the Sumas border crossing this afternoon.

Northbound traffic was blocked for less than an hour this afternoon, but the Canada Border Services Agency has confirmed cars are now being allowed through into Canada.

According to Drive BC, the crossing has re-opened in both directions.

Police tape was seen on the north side of the border at around 2:40 p.m. today.

Abbotsford Police say they are assisting Canada Border Services, but the agency will not tell us what has happened.
