ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – An Abbotsford man faces dozens of firearms and drug charges after a bust last week.
Ten search warrants were executed, in which guns, drugs and cash were seized.
“It was basically an arsenal of guns and drugs,” says Constable Ian MacDonald. “Semi-automatic pistols, revolvers, a sub-machine gun, semi-automatic rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, lots of cocaine, and almost 1,000 Fentanyl-laced pills.”
MacDonald says this is a significant victory for police. “With a state of emergency declared in the province of BC, I think it’s very significant. I know that our officers, on a weekly basis, are attending to overdoses. Most of those are generated by Fentanyl.”
Corey Perkins, 28, faces a total of 66 drug and weapons charges.
Caitlin Bransford, 26, also faces drug charges.
