FRASER VALLEY (NEWS 1130) – The University of the Fraser Valley is telling students who may have picked up free condoms in public washrooms at the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses to discard them.
Dave Pinton with the university says it seems they may have been damaged.
“We have reason to believe that somebody had witnessed some tampering with these free condoms,” shares Pinton.
He says there could be consequences for the person who damaged the condoms.
“The UFV takes this very seriously, and we’re investigating this under our student, non-academic conduct policy.”
The administration is warning students that condoms picked up anytime from September first until today may not be effective as birth control or as protection against sexually transmitted diseases.
All possibly affected condoms have been removed.
