SkyTrains and buses running smoothly today

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Good news if you don’t want to drive in the snow – trains and buses are running normally today.
TransLink says all stranded coaches from yesterday have been picked up and all routes – with the exception of two in White Rock – are on normal service.
Anne Drennan with the transit authority says all SkyTrain lines are also running well, with attendants on all cars.
“We need to make it clear as apparently there was confusion with some media last night, when there is a SkyTrain or Canada Line attendant is actually on the train, they’re not driving the train, they’re simply on the train to keep an eye out for things on the tracks and to emergency brake if necessary.”
She adds the de-icing of the tracks and trolley wires is also continuing as it has proven very successful so far.
