VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The critically acclaimed musical ‘Come From Away,’ is launching a North American tour that will include stops in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa.

Based in Gander, Newfoundland, the show highlights the heartwarming stories that surfaced north of the border in the days following the 9/11 attacks in New York City.

The show is nominated for seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. It has also won nearly a dozen other awards.

“With the overwhelming emotional response the show has received from critics and audiences alike, we are thrilled to now be setting out on this journey across North America,” say the show’s producers in a statement.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the show’s New York City opening earlier this year.
