Smoke in Maple Ridge as housefire burns

MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) – A fire has burned a house in Maple Ridge. The flames could be seen bursting out of a home on 207th Street and Lorne Avenue.
Julie called in to the newsroom and described what she saw.
“It’s an older, little house. But there’s a lot of smoke, and the houses are closer together there too.”
“They had the road blocked off on 207th with fire trucks, police cars, ambulance. They directed you down one of the side streets. And the street that the house fire is on is also blocked off and there’s lots of smoke in the area.”
There’s no word on what sparked the fire or if there are any injuries.
