Deadly crash on the Pitt River Bridge

MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) – The RCMP has confirmed one person is dead after a roll-over crash on the Pitt River Bridge.

It’s not clear if any other vehicles are involved in the collision, which happened around 2:30 a.m.

Police have confirmed the driver was the only person in the car.

We don’t know if the driver was a man or a woman. Their next of kin has yet to be notified.

Westbound lanes of the span were closed for hours this morning. They re-opened around 7:30 a.m.
