SURREY (NEWS 1130) – RCMP officers had to rush to Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock last night after a man drove himself to the emergency room in a shot-up pickup truck
Mounties believe the wounded man was actually hit in a rural area of Cloverdale.
It’s an area of farms and sprawling properties with quiet, narrow rows; on 164 Street south of Colebrook Road is where investigators think the man and truck were shot.
At 8:20 p.m., the man pulled up to Peace Arch Hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound. That led to a large police presence at the ER. Video footage of the vehicle shows apparent bullet holes in the driver’s side.
So far, RCMP haven’t said much else. They have been looking for witnesses, but have not identified the man who was shot nor any possible suspects.
We are expecting to learn more later today.
