More alleged Surrey day spa sex assault victims come forward

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – After making an appeal for victims to come forward, Mounties say seven additional alleged victims of sexual assault at a beauty spa in Surrey have spoken up to police.
Some of these new allegations happened as early as this year at Iris Day Spas.
“Three of these incidents are alleged to have occurred at the Guildford location, three at the South Surrey location, and one was reported to have taken place at a Newton location which is no longer in operation,” says Corporal Elenore Sturko.
“Our investigators do believe that there still may be other victims who have not yet come forward. We encourage anyone who does have an incident they wish to report or anyone with more information is asked to contact us.”
Sturko says investigators believe there is more than one suspect. Last month, a 58-year-old man was charged with two counts of sexual assault.
