Bear returns to Belcarra, new restrictions in effect at White Pine Beach

BELCARRA (NEWS 1130) – If you want to enjoy the sun at White Pine Beach at Belcarra Regional Park, you can do just that.

But, be aware a bear has once again been spotted in the area.

While the beach near Port Moody is staying open for the weekend, Metro Vancouver says some new precautions are in effect.

You’re not allowed to bring any food to the beach and the concession will be closed closed.

The district’s Facebook page also says, “No food in the shelter either. Put all trash immediately in the bearproof garbage bins.”
