VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Wrestling fans will be heading to Rogers Arena Feb. 2 as WWE: Live – Road to Wrestlemania visits town.
But if you’re in the audience, don’t expect to get your sign on TV. Once again there won’t be any cameras at this event.
Every week, different cities host the televised shows RAW and SmackDown!
Millions of people around the world tune in, but Vancouver hasn’t had one of these shows since the summer of 2003.
Big E is one of the wrestlers with WWE who will be at Saturday’s show.
“I don’t know what the reason is,” he says. “Vancouver is honestly one of my favourite cities, it’s beautiful.”
He says sometimes it doesn’t matter how big or loud the crowds are, Vancouver could be skipped simply for logistical reasons, like where we’re located.
“As far as actually getting TVs there, there’s a lot even that I’m unaware of,” he says.
Big E stresses Vancouver fans shouldn’t take it personally.
On this west coast swing for WWE, it’s choosing to do the televised shows south of the border, in Everett and Portland.
