Kelly Ripa says she loves Vancouver Airport on Live with Kelly and Ryan

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Kelly Ripa’s love affair with Vancouver has escalated with the Emmy Award-winning talk show host from New York jokingly reporting she wants her ashes scattered at YVR’s Gucci store.

“I want to be buried in the Gucci at Vancouver Airport,” she said on her show, “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on May 27. “I would like my ashes scattered there. I’m telling you that airport, it’s just gorgeous!”

The show has millions of viewers and YVR’s CEO, Craig Richmond, was quick to cash in on the free endorsement.

“Saw your show today. Thank you so much for enjoying Gucci at Vancouver Airport,” he said in a video posted to Twitter. “We couldn’t help thinking next time you’re through here, I’d love to take your family on a tour here, there’s so much more to offer than just this one store.”

Ripa has repeatedly talked about how much she loves Vancouver since first visiting her husband, Mark Consuelos, who lives here when his popular TV series “Riverdale” is filming in the Lower Mainland. Ripa herself has also guest starred on the show.
