BCIT investigating incident of sexual misconduct

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Students at BCIT are being warned about an incident of sexual misconduct that happened on July 12.

NEWS 1130 has obtained an email that says the school’s security was informed of inappropriate touching by a passing man on a bike.

An investigation is ongoing, including a review of video footage.

The individual who was approached has been offered support.

The incident happened at the Burnaby campus, at around 6 p.m.
