VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A number of Australian police officers are travelling to Canada in support of the grieving family of an Australian man who was killed with his American girlfriend in northeastern B.C.
The bodies of 23-year-old Lucas Fowler and 24-year-old Chynna Deese were found Monday along the Alaska Highway about 20 kilometres south of Liard Hot Springs.

RCMP say Fowler’s father is an active member of the New South Wales Police Force and he’s on his way to Canada with a number of Australian police officers – but they won’t be joining the investigative team in Canada.
Mounties are asking for the public’s help identifying the owner of a blue 1986 Chevrolet van with Alberta licence plates also found on the side of the highway.
