MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) – The Maple Ridge SPCA is no longer accepting applications for five hedgehogs after an overwhelming amount of responses.
On Friday, the SPCA sent out a Facebook post introducing a group of hedgehogs it named the “Jackson 5” who were left in the parking lot in Maple Ridge. The facility said the hedgehogs would be available for adoption by Monday, but didn’t realize how high the interest in the animals would be, adding its phones have been ringing nonstop and their email inbox is full.
The SPCA has thanked everyone for the support it received in a Facebook post.
“We knew they would be popular but had no idea just how popular they would be!” it said.
No word yet on where the hedgehogs new home will be.
