NORTH VANCOUVER (CityNews) – A strata in North Vancouver will have to continue to wait for more than $50,000 owed by a woman who ran an illegal hostel in its townhouse complex.
A B.C. Supreme Court judge has given Emily Yu another month to produce a cheque.

She did, however, pay $5,000 to the court after being previously found in contempt of court.
Yu had listed her three-bedroom townhouse as the 15-bed Oasis Hotel on short term rental sites like AirBnB.
Neighbours are disappointed at today’s ruling after battling with Yu for almost three years.
Yu previously fought her strata at the B.C. Human Rights tribunal, arguing she was a victim of discrimination. Her complaint was dismissed.
