Teen hit with gun at Langley mall

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — A teen is recovering after being hit over the head with the butt-end of a gun at Willowbrook Shopping Centre Tuesday afternoon.

Langley RCMP say it seems to have happened during some sort of fight between two groups of young people who knew each other around 4:30 p.m.

A post on a Facebook community group is encouraging families to be aware of what happened at the mall.

“What is seen on the video is concerning. We do believe it is an isolated incident,” says Sgt. Rebecca Parslow.

An investigation is ongoing, but Mounties say there isn’t a risk to the public. However, if anyone has any information they are asked to contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
