No COVID-19 outbreak concern over case at Surrey Walmart: Fraser Health

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — There’s no alert coming from the Fraser Health Authority over concerns of a community outbreak after a Walmart employee tested positive for COVID-19 in south Surrey.

The company confirmed one of its employees at a Walmart on 160 Street tested positive for the virus on April 16.

Any other employee who had contact with the infected person has been asked to self-isolate.

Walmart says it has disinfected the store, and regular enhanced cleaning at the location is also taking place.
