Motorcyclist seriously hurt in Lions Gate Bridge crash

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A 59-year-old motorcyclist has been seriously hurt in a crash on the Lions Gate Bridge Tuesday.
The crash, which shut down the bridge in both directions for some time, happened around 8:00 p.m. The bridge has since reopened.
“Once on scene, officers determined that a motorcyclist had been travelling Northbound and had attempted to overtake a vehicle, resulting in a collision,” a release from the West Vancouver PD reads.
The man is from North Vancouver and has been transported to hospital along with a husband and wife from another vehicle involved.
“This is a very serious collision and we are seeking any information from witnesses who may be able to assist us with this investigation,” Cst. Kevin Goodmurphy says. “If you have potential dashcam footage, or perhaps saw the driving behavior prior to the crash, we’d like to speak with you.”
