VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) — Dr. Bonnie Henry says she never expected to inspire fan art, and the experience of seeing her face emblazoned on mugs, pins, and T-shirts is “kind of a little disconcerting.”
But she is pleased the proceeds are going to charity.
“I am pleased that the money is going to something that is important and I know many people are supporting a number of initiatives like the food bank, like the WISH initiative in the Downtown Eastside and a number of others, and for that I am grateful,” she said Monday.
“If using my likeness can help with that then that’s a good thing.”
