‘Skeletal human remains’ found on Burnaby Mountain, RCMP investigating

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — Mounties are investigating after a 15-year-old boy found “skeletal human remains” in the woods on Burnaby Mountain on Thursday.

Burnaby RCMP say the boy made the grim discovery “in a forested area” near Forest Grove Park around 6:30 p.m.

“The boy and his friend told police they had been building a fort when they unearthed the remains,” reads a release from Burnaby RCMP.

Police say there is no risk to public safety, and the identity of the deceased person has not yet been determined.
