VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A recent spike in COVID-19 cases in B.C. is causing one Vancouver dance club to shut its doors, again.

Fortune Sound Club, in an Instagram post Tuesday, says, after a rise in cases was reported earlier this week, it has decided to close as a precaution.

“[W]e recognize our responsibility to support the best interests of our community, and we have decided to once again close Fortune,” the club says in a post.

It had re-opened in July after being closed since mid-March because of the pandemic.

While Fortune ends the post saying it hopes to open soon, it’s unclear when it will do so.

“We look forward to seeing you all again soon. In the meantime, stay safe and keep those hands clean!”
