SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A Real Canadian Superstore in Surrey closed on Sunday after an employee tested positive for a presumptive case of COVID-19.
The person last worked at the location — along 104 Avenue, near 146 Street — a week ago.
“Yes, one of our team members at the Real Canadian Superstore located at 14650 — 104th Avenue, Surrey has recently tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19,” says an email from Loblaws.
“Team members who worked closely with this individual are now at home in self-isolation, monitoring for any symptoms.”
The store also arranged for additional cleaning Sunday and planned to reopen Monday.
“We are working with the local public health team and have taken a number of steps to minimize risk, including increased sanitization protocols and enforcing social distancing practices in the store.”
