COVID-19 exposure warning for Lions Bay Beach Park

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The Vancouver Coastal Health Authority is warning about COVID-19 exposures at Lions Bay Beach Park.
The possible exposures occurred July 26, 27, 29, 30, and 31 at the park, located between Vancouver and Squamish.
The possible exposures are believed to be low risk, but Vancouver Coastal is asking anyone who was at Lions Bay Beach Park on those days to self-monitor themselves for symptoms.

Previous exposure events in Vancouver Coastal occurred last month at Sandman Suites, on Davie Street, and the No5 Orange, on Main Street.
More than 1,000 people had to self-isolate after a public exposure warning in Kelowna during the Canada Day long weekend. Interior Health currently lists eight exposure warnings.

Meanwhile, The B.C. Centre for Disease Control has now listed coronavirus exposure events on 33 flights involving Vancouver International Airport, more than half being international flights.
The last six exposures occurred on flights between July 27 and 29, including international flights from London, Mexico, and Seattle. Two domestic flights are among those, including one from Vancouver to Calgary, the other from Ottawa to Vancouver.
Health officials in B.C. have been lobbying for airlines to share more information about passengers to assist in contact tracing.
