DELTA (NEWS 1130) — A COVID-19 case has been confirmed in someone from Delta Secondary School.
A letter sent to families Monday says someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 was at the school on Sept. 11.
It doesn’t specify if the person was a student or a staff member.
This is the second formal notification I have seen regarding a potential #covid19 exposure at a BC School.
This one in Delta. The first: Panorama Secondary in Surrey – someone at the school Sept 8.https://t.co/en7j8tUPWs#bced #bcpol @NEWS1130— LizaYuzda (@LizaYuzda) September 15, 2020
The letter says the affected person is self-isolating at home.
The Fraser Health Authority is working to find out how this person got the virus, and who they were in close contact with.
Anyone who needs to self-isolate will be informed by the health authority.
Students are being told they don’t need to stay home from school unless they are ill, or have been directed to by health officials.
