Employees at two Safeway stores test positive for COVID-19

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Two Safeway grocery stores in the Lower Mainland have had employees test positive for COVID-19.
The Safeway at 3410 Kingsway Street in Vancouver has had an employee test positive for the virus.
“The last day the employee worked was Sept. 24,” Sobeys, which owns Safeway, said on its website Monday.

The Safeway at 15355 – 24 Avenue in Surrey also had an employee test positive for COVID-19.
The last day the employee worked was Sept. 23.
Sobeys previously reported an employee at its Thrifty Foods store on Croydon Drive in Surrey tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 16. The employee last worked there on Sept. 5.
