COVID-19 case confirmed at Langley Lodge, site of B.C.’s deadliest outbreak

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — A staff member at Langley Lodge has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Fraser Health.
The positive case of the coronavirus at the long-term care home was announced Friday, and the health authority says the worker is self-isolating at home.
“A Fraser Health rapid response team is at the site and communication with residents and families is underway,” reads a press release.

The long-term care home has been the site of two other outbreaks, and 26 residents of the facility have died since the pandemic was declared.
A leaked report outlined a number of ways safety protocols were violated at the 139-bed facility during outbreaks. The health authority says those have been corrected.
