Delta packaging and distribution center closed by Fraser Health due to COVID-19 outbreak

DELTA (NEWS 1130) — A distribution center in Delta has been closed by Fraser Health following a COVID-19 outbreak.
On Saturday, Fraser Health Authority revealed 23 employees of Valhalla Distribution have tested positive for the virus.
“To date, 23 employees of the facility have tested positive for COVID-19,” a release reads. “Fraser Health is screening employees at the facility, and case and contact management are ongoing. Those identified as cases and close contacts have been instructed to self-isolate.”
Fraser Health has inspected the site and is working to strengthen screening measures.
The health authority became aware of a potential outbreak at the distribution centre on Sept. 20 when an employee tested positive for the virus.
