VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Parts of the Seawall in Vancouver and Seawalk in West Vancouver have been closed due to high winds and tides Friday afternoon.
The Vancouver Park Board tweeted the closure between Third Beach and the Lions Gate Bridge, saying a king tide, an especially high tide, is expected to crest around 3:30 p.m.
People are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
Meanwhile, the District of West Vancouver has closed its Seawalk from 19th Street to Dundarave Lane as of 2 p.m.
Signage has been posted.
