‘Wrong home was targeted’ in Abbotsford drive-by shooting: police

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) — Police in Abbotsford are investigating a drive-by shooting near a family home which they believe was mistakenly targeted.
Officers were called to Adair Avenue around 8: 30 p.m. Saturday.
“When officers arrived, they found evidence consistent with shots being fired into a residence. The home was occupied by a family, including young children. Fortunately, no one was injured,” reads a release.
“While the motive is not known at this time, this family is not known to police. Investigators believe the wrong home was targeted.”

The Abbotsford Police Department is asking anyone who was in the area at the time wor who may have dashcam or CCTV footage to contact the Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
