VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Trump supporters gathered outside the Vancouver Art Gallery as law enforcement south of the border secured the U.S. Capitol building hours after protestors forced their way inside Wednesday.
About two dozen people gathered outside the gallery with some protesters holding Trump flags with slogans like, “President Trump Four More Year, “Fight for Trump, “No New Normal.”
Vancouver police were at the gallery as a precaution.

A little less than half the 20 or 30 people who gathered are wearing masks.
By 4 p.m., the crowd dispersed.
Wednesday afternoon Trump protesters in Washington D.C. stormed the Capitol buliding, forcing it into lockdown as congress was in the process of certifying President-Elect Joe Biden’s win.
At least one woman was shot and is now in critical condition and multiple officers were reportedly been hurt by the mob of protesters.
A 6 p.m. curfew is now in effect for Washington D.C.
Biden has demanded Trump call for an end to the siege, calling it an assault on the rule of law.
“Today is a painful reminder democracy is fragile,” Biden said. “It’s not a protest. It’s insurrection. The world’s watching.”
Trump tells protesters in a video posted to social media they “have to go home now,” and that “we have to have peace, we have to have law and order.”
Speaking to NEWS 1130, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he’s watching the unfolding situation closely as he hopes for a peaceful resolution.
We are shocked watching the violence south of the border today. Intimidation cannot be permitted to disrupt democratic institutions. This violent disorder should be denounced by all those who believe in democracy.
