COVID-19 outbreaks declared at two Surrey long term care facilities

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — The Fraser Health Authority is declaring another two COVID-19 outbreaks in Surrey — this time at the Suncreek Village and Guildford Seniors Village long term care facilities.

At Suncreek Village one resident and one staff member tested positive for the virus. And two staff members at Guildford Seniors Village are infected with COVID-19.

Residents at both facilities are in isolation.

“Fraser Health has worked with each site to support the implementation of enhanced control measures. Fraser Health is also working with each site to identify anyone who may have been exposed, and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, clients, residents and families,” a release from Fraser Health reads.

Both the Suncreek Village which is owned and operated by Suncreek Developments and the Guildford Seniors Village which is owned and operated by Retirement Concepts have declared COVID-19 outbreaks before.
