VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The Cardero in downtown Vancouver has won an international award from The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
The building along West Georgia nabbed the Award of Excellence in the Best Tall Building under 100m category.
“We want to make a meaningful long-term impact on the city, and we are proud of the partnership with Henriquez Partners Architects,” Colin Bosa with Bosa Properties said in a release. “Together, we worked to create a sustainable, world-class work of architecture that will contribute to the evolution of urban living in Vancouver and be part of shaping the skyline of one of the world’s best cities.”
The development includes a facade with angled, V-shaped white steel shades.
Cardero will go on to compete for the title of “Overall Category Winner” in the same category with others from around the world this May.
