Surrey boat dealer faces dozens of fraud charges

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A boat dealer in Surrey is facing dozens of fraud and theft charges after a lengthy police investigation.

The RCMP’s Financial Crimes Unit had Aaron Fell and Breakwater Marine in its sights since June, 2019 after complaints about fraudulent business practices.

A search warrant that summer resulted in the Mounties seizing boats and documents. Eventually, 100 people were identified who were allegedly swindled out of a total of $1.8 million.

Fell, 50, is now facing 30 charges related to fraud and three related to theft.
