VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The last time Sheila Poorman heard from her daughter Chelsea was on Sept. 7, 2020.

Chelsea was 24 when she was last seen on Granville St. in Downtown Vancouver.

Her mother, Sheila, hopes to bring attention to her daughter’s disappearance with an organized walk through Downtown Vancouver on Friday. The march starts at 3:30 p.m. at Davie and Granville Streets and will make its way to Victory Park. Along the way, participants are putting up posters of Chelsea, hoping to jog someone’s memory.

“She’s very kind-hearted. She’s an animal lover. She will go out of her way to help another person,” Sheila said.

Chelsea had just moved to the Vancouver area last July to seek some help for her mental health and to better her life, according to her mother.

“The one thing that I want people to know is that Chelsea’s been through a lot in her life,” Sheila said. “If somebody knows anything of her whereabouts, I just ask them to speak out so that we can bring Chelsea home. Her sisters and I really miss her and want her to come home.”
